Veterans of Foreign Wars of Ohio Charities is a non-profit organization that was created in 2003 for the purpose of performing charity and public service work in our Ohio communities.
Honor Flight
The VFWOC has made multiple donations to the Honor Flight including our most recent $25,000 donation to this project
Homeless Veterans
VFWOC joins other organizations supporting homeless standdowns around the state by supplying sleeping bags, shoes, blankets, clothing, etc.  VFWOC is also partnering with the VA Medical Centers to provide rent and utilities for homeless veterans who are trying to work themselves back into society.
Charitable video raffle program funds innovative brain injury therapy for Ohio veteran
Columbus, Ohio (April 1, 2015) - Jeremy Lanham served two tours in Iraq with the United States Army. During that time he was exposed to several large explosions, receiving multiple concussions and suffering injuries to his brain. The injuries went untreated and as a result, Jeremy suffered extreme migraine headaches and was unable to sleep for years.

Program surpasses $13 million contributed to Ohio charities

Columbus, Ohio (March 24, 2015) – Spc. Michael B. Cook Jr. of Middletown, Ohio died in Iraq June 6, 2011 as a result of a rocket attack, leaving behind his wife Samantha and two children. After Michael’s death, Samantha moved from Ft. Riley, Kansas back to Butler County, Ohio.
Donated Stair Lift
We have in storage a stair lift that was donated to us. It is complete with a 24’ rail. We would like to donate it to an Ohio veteran who could use it.

Abele wins VFW scholarship
VANDALIA — Trevor Abele, a senior at Butler High School, participated in the ‘Voice of Democracy’ Scholarship Essay competition with an essay on the subject title for this year: “Why Veterans are important to our Nation’s History and Future.”
